Welcome to the Document Fraud Expertise Centre (DFEC), a distinguished entity within the Ghana Immigration Service dedicated to addressing the challenges posed by evolving migration and development trends. Established through collaboration between the Government of Ghana and the European Union under the ANEAS 1 program, DFEC was officially commissioned in June 2010. DFEC operates as a Center of Excellence, and our personnel undergo extensive training, both locally and internationally, obtaining international certifications. This commitment to continuous learning ensures that our team is well-equipped to effectively discharge their mandate. Our specialized focus extends to various critical documents, including Marriage Certificates, Birth Certificates, Education Certificates, Passports, Visas/Residence cards/stickers, Currencies, Laissez-passer, and more. By leveraging our available resources and the expertise of our qualified personnel, we strive to uphold the highest standards in combating document fraud. We conduct verification and the authentication of Passports, Marriage, Birth and Death certificates, Visas, Permits (Residence/Work) for the various Permit Processing Sections; the Anti-Human Smuggling and Trafficking in Persons (AHSTIP) Unit, the Prosecutions Unit of the Legal Department of the Ghana Immigration Service and a host of stakeholders; The CID of Ghana Police Service and other State Security Agencies, Births and Deaths Registry, The NIA, Embassies, Foreign Missions, Consulates, Banks and Financial Institutions within and beyond the country.
